Ingredient
Tulsi
Also called Holy basil
A fragrant, clove-sweet basil grown at home and dried for tea — warming and grounding in a cup.
Tulsi is a basil with a warm, peppery, almost clove-like scent. It grows happily in a sunny pot and can be harvested again and again through the summer.
Growing and drying
- Pinch the tops often so the plant stays bushy.
- Harvest leaves and flowering tips on a dry morning.
- Hang small bundles somewhere warm and shaded until they crumble.
In the cup
Tulsi gives a blend body and warmth. It sits comfortably alongside rose and lemon balm.
